Working
with Pattie has been a life changing experience. My relationship
with my body has grown deeper and stronger, and with it, my
confidence. This affects every moment of my waking life, this
sense of strength that lets me take chances.
I am a fat woman, and have been for many years. Dramatic weight
loss has continued to elude me. But through intense and personal
training, I have shattered myths about my bodies and my ability.
For example, doctors told me my knee pain was a weight-related
issue that would continue to worsen as I aged. By working
specific muscle groups and working on balance and core strength
with Pattie, I have eliminated knee pain. Not relieved or
lessened, eliminated! I also eliminated a great deal of fear
about attempting physical challenges.
Now I don’t hesitate to ride a bike, hike a steep trail
or take the stairs. I don’t shy away from physical challenges
as I once did – I know I am strong and flexible.
Pattie is an inspiring trainer who is supportive yet demanding
and creative. I am never bored! She knows how to find the
perfect balance between challenge and success so that the
training experience remains lively and fun.

Saint Pattie has replaced Saint Jude as patron
saint of this particular hopeless case. I am a senior citizen
with very little flexibility, poor balance, too many pounds
and a lifetime of avoidance of physical exercise. I’ve
been working with Pattie Cinelli only a short time –
less than six months – yet I can’t believe how
much I have improved. Her knowledge of the body and its musculature
is solid. For 64 years I believed that I had an inflexible
spine. In our first session she showed me that the inflexibility
was in my legs, not my back, and she’s also convinced
me that I can fix it! I am already seeing significant improvement
in flexibility, endurance, strength and balance.
While I won’t predict that I’ll ever turn into an exercise
addict, I expect to see more and more improvement which will let
me to continue to keep on doing what I like to do – travel
to off-the-beaten track places in Asia – for many years to
come. Of course, it helps that Pattie has a great personality and
the patience of a saint.

Over the past year and half of training
with Pattie I have experienced increased strength and flexibility
and my posture has improved. She has designed varied workout
routines to deal with my special needs and pushes me to continue
to build my performance even when I am resistant.
I sought personal training because I wanted to make sure I
just was not exercising without improving my overall body
condition. Pattie has helped me to move toward my goal.

I began training because I’d begun
to feel like a Pillsbury doughboy, especially in my upper
body - all weakness and flab with little strength. I’ve
been doing weekly training with Pattie for one year and a
half and feel and look much better. Even though I know I could
probably commit more time and energy to getting fit, my strength
is increased, my flexibility is better and I am eating better.
My next goal is to lose 15 pounds!

I was blessed with a very resilient body
and enjoyed lots of strenuous athletic activity. I simply
thought my life would always be filled with whatever physical
activity I chose to pursue. In short, I took my good fortune
and good health for granted. For a brief period of time (about
two years) I allowed my daily workouts to lapse. I played
tennis infrequently, if at all. I gave up playing seasonal
softball. I stopped rollerblading, running and cycling. I
knew I needed some help-- first to get off some of the accumulated
weight and second to help me build back my overall physical
fitness. I joined a program at my gym that combined weight
training, cardio workouts and stretching classes for flexibility.
That’s where I first met Pattie. She taught me to treat
my stretching sessions seriously, and to listen to the quiet
messages my body sent me. From the stretching classes, I followed
her into Pilates classes and finally into a daily Pilates
routine I do on my own. With her encouragement, I pursued
a fitness career that I find highly rewarding. Once again,
I am physically active. I run, cycle, play tennis, and teach
a lot of fitness classes. Very soon I will strive to become
certified to teach Pilates. I know how much this form of exercise
has helped me; and I encourage others to try it for themselves.

I met Pattie through her Pilates class and
asked her to train me privately before my wedding. She not
only focused my exercise regimen, but also coached me on moving
toward a healthier lifestyle and a focus on health of spirit
and mind. Pattie constantly challenged me to try new things
and explore wellness from a holistic standpoint. I have never
felt more beautiful or more self-assured than on the day of
my wedding, and I owe a great deal of that to Pattie's guidance
and training.
